Korean Embassy Scholarship Program

Background:

Annual scholarship award by Korean Embassy in the U.S.  The winners received $1,000 in 2012, and more than 100 students were selected to receive the scholarship in recent years.  The program is supported by Korean government, and the total funding has been increased to $2.9 million recently.  The details for 2013 has not been posted on the Internet, but expected to be announced in sometime March, 2013.  Contact information is listed on the official website.

Eligibility:

1. Korean American studying in the States or Canada
2. Only one parent is required to be Korean
3. Korean adoptees are qualified
4. GPA of 3.5 or higher
